A lot of my friends are excited about Miley Cyrus' new song
Party in the U.S.A. This song has a good beat, and Miley has a pretty good voice, but the chorus of this song is absolutely ridiculous:
CHORUS: So I put my hands up They’re playing my song, And the butterflys fly away Noddin’ my head like yea Movin my hips like yea I got my hands up, They’re playin my song I know im gonna be ok Yea, It's a party in the USA Yea, It's a party in the USA
What does "nodding my head like yeah" mean?? What is yeah? Someone who has never seen Miley perf-orm this song would read these lyrics and think this song is a complete joke. "Yeah" is not a noun, but an informal way to say "yes", and I don't even know what "yes" looks like. In my opinion, the true talent of the singer and hipness of the beat gets lost in these random words jumbled together that make up a lousy chorus. If you'd like to here the song, you can watch the music video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M11SvDtPBhA
