Monday, October 5th 2009 What is absurd today?

Death is absurd. When you really think about it, the ending of someone's life seems ridiculous and unnatural for the people left behind, because one day their loved one was there, and the next, they were gone. The world still keeps going on, and the majority of the people in it don't notice. But the people who loved that person notice. Some people who lose their loved ones fall deeply into depression, can't get out of bed the next morning, scream in the middle of the night because of terrible nightmares that bring the death back to reality, and still wake up the next morning to a sun that stupidly rises like it always has. And to everyone who knows the person grieving, it's sad to watch. They feel bad, they wish they could help. But to the person actually living without the second half of their heart, it's a desperate, impossible time, a time completely absurd-- without any logic.
